This workshop was held at Omaru Alpacas on Saturday 29th October 2022

Great day at the VER Paddock to Product Fleece Workshop.

First half of the day was spent learning about alpaca and fleece preparation with hands on opportunities with alpacas.

After lunch there was plenty of hands on skirting practice and later we split into groups learning about spinning, felting, carding and knitting. We hope all the attendees enjoyed and found the day valuable.

Special thanks to Sian Rikkards for hosting the event and for sharing her knowledge on dying fleece, felting, knitting and carding.
Ashleigh Herring and Fibre Naturally for demonstrations on spinning and samples of beautifully processed skeins and knitted, felted and crochet garments.

Julie Blake for supplying and talking about skirting Suri fleeces. It was a fun day.
